Cauliflower love

Today we picked the last of the cauliflowers. Within days they went from white and milky to the colour of clotted cream.

We've cleared a big patch of space now so we can plant spinach and some pumpkins for the autumn.

Here's what I had for my tea. Check of the carrots which look like fingers....

I wish I lived here....

I'm in love....with Primrose Cottage.
Aga. Check. Big garden. Check. Veranda. Check.

I'm spending a lot of time on the Lillicrap Chillcot website looking at the photos...
Why haven't I got the deposit to buy it?

Pasties and Puddings...

Mum had to cancel her line dancing night last night...

But held a pasties and pud night instead.

Am still gloomy about not being at home. I'm not sure why I'm so homesick...just am.

Dreaming

I keep checking my lottery numbers because I want this house...

It's only accessible by a footpath or boat and looks a bit like Scilly.

But is costs £1.5 million...any volunteers?

Dodgy tummy

I thought nothing would feed my hangover cravings after 5 glasses of wine last night.

Turns out several cups of tea and 4 jammy dodgers do after all.

Kitesurfing widow

When my friends told me about their surfer boyfriends I had visions of weekends spent lying in the sun, tanned with a picnic.

How naive I was.

Rain on a weekend

Why does it only rain at the weekend? OK that's not strictly true because it's rained on and off all week and I should be grateful because it will do the vegtables the world of good.

But I have my cousin down this weekend and we were hoping to lie in the sun and barbeue on the beach.

Everything looks a little more gloomy without the sunshine.
